"There are more than 1.5 million young people living on the streets, in shelters, and even staying in the house of strangers, the United States. Despite the stereotypes, many of them are not addicts, criminals or mentally ill. They come from families they do not understand, some are runaways who could no longer tolerate the abuse in their own homes and others are out of the foster care system without having to go .... "

20 years of ZOO TV
On February 29, 1992, U2 began the ZOO TV Tour Arena in Lakeland, Florida, USA. The tour debuted a new way of being in the band, with a high-tech stage, reinvented the style of U2 and hence the space of shows, incorporating images and increasing performance for the audience.
Larry: "We really wanted to do something that had never been seen before, using TV, text and image. It was a huge project and very expensive. We allow ourselves to be driven by new technology. "
U2's Bono To Join Andrew Lloyd Webber Talent Show?
U2 frontman Bono could be set to join Andrew Lloyd Webber's new talent show as a judge. The musical composer is reportedly looking to hire Bono to join the search for the star of Jesus Christ Superstar. A source told The Sun: It's definitely a long shot, there's no doubt about that,” said a source who was definitely not someone working the nightshift on the paper’s newsdesk, “But Andrew is keen to get Bono on board and if anyone could pull off something like this, then it is him.” Meanwhile, The U2-scored musical, Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark, has broken Broadway to become the highest single-week gross of any show in Broadway history. The musical as grossed almost $3m over nine performances last week, which has broken the previous record held by Wicked, which grossed $2.2 million (1.4 million) over eight shows in 2011.

Bono visit Machu Picchu, after escaping from the harassment of the press
Bono, the frontman for Irish band U2, on Saturday managed to visit the Inca city of Machu Picchu, which he considered "impressive", after escaping from the harassment of the press that at first almost stopped walking the famous ruins. Apparently, the famous singer was able to camouflage themselves among a group of visitors to stand alone in the ruins, while his family followed soon after followed by other travelers.

Bono's African inspired prints at New York Fashion Week
Fashionistas shivered visibly on Sunday in a makeshift event space along the blustery Hudson River, where the Edun fashion label, founded by U2's Bono and wife Ali Hewson, was displaying its Fall 2012 collection. But the models wore bright, African prints that made one feel, at least momentarily, in a much warmer clime.
Among the most striking fashions: A graphic zebra print in a shoulder dress, draped prettily over one shoulder, or a silk safari print shirt dress, or a springbok (gazelle) silk twist dress, or an electric blue leopard-mix print dress.

Bono has participation in the album of the singer K'naan
According to the website @ U2, Bono will appear on the album "Country, God or The Girl" singer K'Naan, which will be released on May 1 this year. After all, there are no concrete details about what music (or music) involve the participation of Bono. Besides the U2 frontman, Will.I.Am and Keith Richards are among the other artists who are also participating in the project.
This is not the first partnership between K'Naan and Bono. The two have shared the stage on occasions like the Clinton Foundation benefit concert held last October, and both participate actively for the eradication of famine in Somalia.

My new U2 gifts!
There are about one month my friend Hilde Hewson, Belgium, said she would send me something from U2. I was surprised that someone so far has had the concern to do this. So here comes this week at my house a mail package. Once I figured that was it. And it was! I wanted to open it as soon as possible. When I opened I saw these beautiful things. Two mugs of U2 and a magnet of my favorite album: Joshua Tree. I need not tell you how happy I'm. ^^

Former U2 bodyguard: Bono 'never apologized for hitting me with his guitar'
A former U2 bodyguard is still awaiting an apology from Bono after the rocker prodded him with a guitar onstage at a gig in Boston in 2001.
David Guyer has detailed his exploits on the road with the Irish rockers in a new book, "Road Rash With U2," and it appears he's still sore over one incident when he tackled a burly fan onstage as he tried to get close to Bono.
Guyer tells Hustler magazine, "He was six-foot-four and weighed well over 240 pounds. I weighed 210, so it was going to be a lesson in physics. I hit him headfirst, perfectly square and precise. The jumper's body exploded with my energy as the shock wave took his skyward and backward. We flew about four feet."

Obama releases list of songs that will use the campaign
U.S. President Barack Obama announced via a Spotify playlist to be used during his campaign for reelection this year. As in 2008, when he beat Republican John McCain, U2 will be on the soundtrack of the Democrat.
Obama put on your list of favorite network Spotify music "Even Better Than The Real Thing" by U2, which although not much is known of the great mass, brings very suggestive messages to camapanha the current American president!
Give me one more chance, and you'll be satisfied.
(Give me one more chance, and you will be satisfied)
Give me two more chances, you will not be denied.
(Give me two more chances, and you will not regret it)
Both the previous and in the 2008 presidential campaign Obama already had U2 in your soundtrack with the marked "City of Blinding Lights" and a shower of shredded paper.
Artist recreates famous cover versions minimalist
After the recreation of classic album covers without the artists already dead, is now the turn of another winning artist featured on the internet with rereading covers. The Englishman David Marsh, a resident of England, decided to recreate the images in minimalist versions.
The result is very interesting, especially when we consider that the recreations are far fewer pixels than the original, making color transitions and "reading" of the skins.
Among the honored artists include The Beatles, Nirvana, Blondie, U2, Pink Floyd, The Clash and many others. Anyone who wants to check out the other covers, follow the link: http://virgula.uol.com.br/ver/album/musica/2012/02/08/18781-compare-capas-minimalistas-com-versoes-originais

Bono is on vacation in Panama!
As the news site U2Fanlife, Bono was on vacation in Panama. It is not common in the editorial line of the site to post news about what each member is in the intimacy of his private life. But there is a material fact in this "gossip": Panama is less than 1500 km from Brazil. Do not understand? Click "Read more".
In December last year, we posted here a rumor that Bono would spend their holidays at the invitation of President Lula. On occasion, news came from columnist Vivi Mascaro (IG) and days later also left in the "Good Guys" (The Globe).

Facebook flotation may make U2's Bono a billionaire
As Facebook prepares to go public, five key figures, including Bono and LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman, are set to make billions.
The social networking company is poised to fire the starting gun on a flotation that's set to value the world's biggest social networking site at up to $100bn (£60bn).
The company that Mark Zuckerberg (below) founded in his room at Harvard University in 2004 is expected to file to sell shares to the public as soon as this week.
Bono is also the co-founder of investment firm Elevation Partners. Its stake in Facebook is almost certain to be valued at over $1bn when Facebook goes public. The star is likely to make as much from that process as U2 has earnt in its entire career.
Bono’s girl shows star quality at Sundance festival
THE daughter of U2 frontman Bono has said walking down the red carpet at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival is a dream come true. Eve Hewson (19) travelled to Park City in Utah to showcase her first major movie, alongside her co-star Sean Penn. “I always wanted to go to Sundance,” she said at the US premiere of ‘This Must Be The Place’ at the weekend.
She said her rock star father was nothing like Cheyenne, the aging former lead singer of a goth rock band, played by Sean Penn in the film. Cheyenne embarks on a road trip to find a Nazi war criminal who persecuted his father.
“I wouldn’t say my dad is anything like this character. Very, very different,” said Eve, who plays the superstar’s teen goth friend Mary in the film.
